Faith Bible Church is a ministry dedicated to impacting Central Pennsylvania and the regions beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are an independent, Bible-believing church that seeks to glorify our Savior in all that we do. Our heartbeat is to…
- Include people in a loving church family that will encourage and strengthen each member in their faith
- Inspire people to develop a heart for God through dynamic Biblical preaching and Christ-exalting music
- Instruct people in Biblical truth through various adult Bible classes, Sunday School programs, and other discipleship ministries
- Involve believers in God’s service through weekly ministry opportunities
Our purpose, as a body of believers, is to glorify God. This objective is the primary motivating and controlling factor behind everything we do. We accomplish this objective by actively evangelizing the lost, and continually discipling believers. All of our ministries are centered around one or both of these objectives.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
If these Biblical goals are what you are looking for in a church home, why not consider visiting us? You will find a warm welcome from our friendly church family. We look forward to seeing you soon!
- We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, 66 books in all, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:21) We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:35; Colossians 2:9)
- We believe when Adam sinned, the human race fell in him. Man without Christ is dead in trespasses and sin, lost and under the wrath of God (Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1,3)
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. (I Corinthians 15:3)
- We believe that the only way to be saved from the penalty of sin, which is eternal condemnation, is by faith in this blood sacrifice, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that of those who thus become His sheep He says, "I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28, Ephesians 2:8-9)
- We believe that the death of Jesus Christ was ordained of God (Acts 2:23) and that it fulfilled and met every demand of the righteousness, justice and holiness of God and His law.
- We believe, though Himself sinless, He bore the sin of the world on Himself and received the wrath of God in our stead. (Acts 2, Romans 8, II Peter 2:24, II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 1:17)
- We believe in the physical bodily resurrection of Jesus (Luke 24) and that He ascended into heaven in the same body, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for all that come to God by Him. (Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 4:14, Ephesians 1:20-21, Hebrews 7:25)
- We believe in the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Trinity. He is the author of Scripture, our teacher, comforter and He that seals the believer with Himself. (Matthew 18:19, John 16:13&14, John 14:26, Ephesians 1:13&14)
- We believe that the Church which is the Body of Christ is composed of those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and have been sealed and indwelt by the Holy Ghost. (John 3:3 & 36; Ephesians 1:13-14)
- We believe that the Gospel Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 is for the Church today.
- We believe in the Blessed Hope, the personal premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-16)
- We believe that Satan is a person, the author of the fall and that he shall be eternally punished. (Job 1:7, Genesis 3:1-9, Revelation 20:10)
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust and in the eternal conscious punishment of the lost and the eternal joy of the saved. (Revelation 20:11-15; 22:12-14; I Corinthians 15)

In 1984 a new church was organized in Bellwood by a group of local Christians. The new church is known as "Faith Bible Church of Bellwood, Pennsylvania."
Following the election of officers, Mr. Stewart Shaver was elected moderator for the time being. Regular Sunday services were held for the month of September at the Tipton Fire Hall. Wednesday prayer services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Rourabaugh, Pastor Myron Weiand, conducting. Services eventually moved to the home of Pastor Weiand until they were able to build a building off of Old Route 220 just outside of Bellwood where the church now continues.
Pastor Weiand remained the pastor until 2006. In 2007, Pastor Ghanayem accepted the call to be the pastor of Faith Bible Church.
